The Digital People Book Club!
This was a meme that took on a life of its own this week!  The whole family, plus the wonderful [info]centrasian_wise, had a hand in creating The Digital People Book Club.

[info]vidaltripsa's going to be leading this in-world once we get facilities built, but she's started us off in Shelfari with a great set of reading suggestions!

So, join Shelfari, friend me (*winces as her fluffybunny hostess reputation takes a hyooge hit from her bookshelf contents*) (*decides she needs an alt named Fluffybunny Hostess to take up the slack*), join the Digital People group, and let's trade stories and serious stuff about Digital People and synthetic worlds!

It occurs to me that however natural this nomination of me for hostess may be, I'm not sure what sort of experience I have to stand on! A lousily slow reader, still a sci-fi n00b and someone with very little community experience at all. Dolls are not that sociable!

Still, they say there's nothing like facing your inadequacies with a head-on challenge... let's see if we can't all immerse ourselves in a bit of literary fun once in a while.. bridge our First and Second lives with a third, totally sculpted by the books we read. :)

(I promise I'll run out of motivational taglines for this Book Club soon)

Hey, that's the reward for having a brilliant idea - you get put in charge of making it happen!

You've inspired me already - after Argent shooed my off to bed last night, I started the new Charlie Stross - and it's *good*! It's about a Scottish detective investigating a virtual bank robbery.....
