Extropia lives!!

You all are cordially invited to join the Government and Founding Citizens of The Technocratic City-State of Extropia this Sunday, November 11 at high noon SLT for the first raising of the flag of Extropia over its sovereign territory!

We're planning quite the shindig, with giveaways, live music, fireworks, an inspirational speech in binary from the Chairperson of Extropia, galatea_gynoid, and much more!

We can't give out a SLURL yet - we're still waiting on Linden Labs for delivery of the island.  I'll post a follow-up announcement here on Friday, and circulate a notice to the Digital People group in SL. Our website - Extropia Core - is live, with content going up later this week.  We'll be starting with information on our governance structure, the land covenants, the Declaration of the Rights of Avatars to which the Government and Citizens subscribe, a public discussion forum, and a citizens-only community forum.

It's not too late to become a Founding Citizen either - we have 3 residential parcels left, and we're taking subscriptions for our second sim. Anyone who commits to land purchase by midnight Saturday the 10th SLT will have their names added to the plaque of Founding Citizens to be placed in our central plaza and will receive a special limited-edition display statuette to awe all your friends :)



On November 11 nearly a century ago, the Great War ended, taking with it Victorian civilization and ushering in an age of wonders and horrors. This November 11, a new age begins, an age of freedom and beauty.  As we break ground in Extropia this Sunday, we - and "we" means *all* of us who believe in human potential - will begin to make the Spirit of the Age manifest - in exquisite building, in warm community, in technology used in the furtherance of our fondest dreams.
