Extropia Solstice Party
It was a completely insane idea: a 12 hour marathon party, booked chock-full of SL's best entertainment, to raise funds for Uthango Social Investments' Virtual Africa. Thing is, it worked!

An hour before the party officially started, it was already going strong, and 13 hours later, when DJ keTchUp wrapped his brilliant new-music set to close  us down for the night, 15 people stayed to dance and chat!  We finally closed up after 15 hours and $L90,610 raised for Uthango!

Special thanks to the amazing talent who turned out for us, and who stayed to play, dance and donate: DJs Vannesh Cannoli, Seven Shikami, Reactor Radio's Nicki Petrichor and Clockwork's DJ keTchUp, Alexander Burgess, as well as special guest performer Grace McDunnough.

Thanks to Jen Shikami and Meissa Thorne for donating party favors - brilliant holly wings from Jen and a full kit of holiday gear from Meissa!

Thanks also to Grace, Michel Manen and Nepherses Amat for bringing their crowds to mix & mingle with us - we all made a lot of new friends through that long night!

Thanks so much to Meissa and to my love [info]galatea_gynoid for going the distance, to Jen for keeping me sane, and to dearest
[info]argent_bury for revitalizing me!

Never, never, *never* again!

Um, till this Saturday, when we're throwing a party in Al Andalus, with DJ Nicki Petrichor, from 11am to 1pm SLT....  :P

I do wish I could have gone the distance, but hope more that that money goes somewhere perpetual too. £160 is a fairly respectable amount by any token. It was lovely to be there, even briefly.

And I wish I'd gotten more time to appreciate your loveliness - but it worked out pretty well, all around!

All the big projects are done - yay for a quiet week ahead! :)

Wow that was a lot of people in your slide show. I'm glad I could make it for a little while (even with a littple person sitting on my lap for a lot of the time).

omg, I *tried* to take a photo of everyone, but *completely* failed!

There was one point where there were at least 25 people at the party, and I only knew 5 of them! Amazing that we kept the place full for 15 hours!

I'm *so glad* you were able to make it! We've been thinking about what we can do to bring more of the Extropia experience to you and our Aussie/Asian friends! :)

Sadly no pic of me! ;_;

Oh well... It was fun for the six or so hours I was there... But I got there early when it was just me and Dandellion before the official start... ^_^

Ohhh... And um Soph... I never got paid the $L reward for freerice blog thing... Not that I'm in a hurry, but I can always use a spare 250L for clothes... ^_^

Oh and my Flickr page has 3 shots form the party!

Aak! I really wanted to get photos of everybody, but especially at the beginning, I was kind of spazzy/distracted. I'm so sorry!

That just means you're going to have to hang out close to me at the next party!
